Keeping Your House Ready for Summer Storms

To prepare for summer storm damage, there are a few things that you can do:

  1. Trim your trees. High winds can bring down tree branches and trees during summer storms.  They recommend removing trees near your house or trimming back the branches at a minimum.
  2. Check your gutters and drains to ensure sufficient drainage.
  3. Update your roof with class 4 materials, to withstand hail damage.
  4. Have a clean & clear garage that you can park in, if needed during severe weather conditions.
  5. Move any debris or items that can be blown around during a storm.
